Dr. Aneel Salman combines expertise in economics with sustainable development, institutional governance and climate change. Former Dean of Management Sciences at Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK) Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Pakistan and an alumnus of Rensselaer University USA, Cambridge University-UK, and University of Bern-Switzerland, he is currently Head of Management Sciences department at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. As an academic and author of ‘ Coastal Ecosystem and a People in Peril: The Story of Keti Bunder in Pakistan ‘, he sees his role as bridging the gap between research and grass root applications. A creative, passionate and well-travelled professor/ trainer who truly cares about the professional development of his students, he brings real-life experiences into the classroom and has never failed to inspire those who have had the pleasure of interacting with him. As father to a lively six-year-old daughter Mysha, he is hopeful about a world which is economically, socially and ecologically healthy, functional, resilient and equitable.
