Multilateral legislations imperative to safeguard workers’ interests

Ms. Dikshya Singh, programme coordinator at South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment, Nepal, spoke at the session titled “Cross-border Labour Market Management” of the two-day 14th South Asia Economic Summit.  

Among the topics discussed by various speakers in the session, Ms. Singh proposed strategies aimed at leveraging the potential of cross-border migration. These strategies included making sure that data is readily accessible, enhancing skills and qualifications, and gaining a clear understanding of market demands.
