Mr. Ajaya Dixit

Executive Director, ISET, Nepal

Ajaya Dixit, currently Executive Director, Institute for Social and Environmental Transition (ISET – Nepal), Kathmandu, has an MSc in Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. Mr. Dixit completed his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Orissa, India.
Previously, Mr. Dixit has held positions at Institute of Engineering, Kathmandu and Nepal Water for Health among others.
He has published extensively in prestigious journals such as the Economic and Political Weekly the most recent publication relating to Climate Change Vulnerabilities and Ecosystem-based Adaptation (2015).
Mr. Dixit’s research interests include Water economics, Irrigation, Hydro-electricity and related engineering and Energy; Dams and reservoirs, Disaster risk management, Mainstreaming climate resilience, Climate change adaptation and Climate change vulnerability among others.
