Ms. Avia Nahreen
Senior Research Associate, IPAG, Bangladesh
Ms. Avia Nahreen, works as a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Policy, Advocacy and Governance (IPAG) and her areas of work include green growth, cross-border energy cooperation and good governance among others. She has participated in several international and regional conferences the most recent being the T20 Global Solutions Summit, organized by Kiel Institute and German Development Institute to present her co-authored Policy Paper on Global Migration Governance held in Berlin, Germany from May 29-30, 2017.
She has written extensively on the power and energy sector such as the article Bangladesh Power and Energy Sector: Overview, Prospects, Challenges, International Best Practices in Power & Energy Sector: Lessons for South Asia & Bangladesh, IPAG Knowledge Series, 2017.
She has presented papers on the institutional effectiveness of SAARC at South Asian Economics Students Meet (SAESM) in 2013 & 2014. Prior to joining IPAG, Ms. Avia worked at Innovations for Poverty Action, Bangladesh, on a project focusing on financial inclusion and financial capacity building.
