Mr. Manohar Bhattarai

Mr. Manohar Bhattarai is a leading ICT and information economy expert from Nepal. He has served as the Vice-Chair of High Level Commission for Information Technology, chaired by the Prime Minister of Nepal. Mr. Bhattarai has been involved in a number of policy initiatives in information and communication technology having played a lead role in drafting Nepal’s first IT Policy and National Broadband Policy & National Broadband Master plan for the Government of Nepal.
He has played a key role in formulating e-Government master plan, which is currently being executed by Office of the Prime Minister. He is also involved in Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway initiative being led by United Nations Economic and Social Commission (UN-ESCAP) as an expert member of the working group formed by the Commission.
