Ms. Dechen Pelmo
Sr. Planning Officer, GNHC, Bhutan
Ms. Dechen Pelmo is currently Senior Planning Officer in the Perspective Planning Division (PPD) of the Gross National Happiness Commission Secretariat (GNHCS), an agency of the Royal Government of Bhutan.
The PPD is responsible for formulating long term national development goals, 5 year development plans and acts as a coordinating and nodal body in implementation of SDGs. Dechen was previously on a special 2-year assignment to His Majesty’s Secretariat where she was involved in setting up performance monitoring system for special development projects and carrying out priority research.
Ms. Pelmo has worked at the Royal Civil Service Commission, the central personnel agency of the Royal Government where she was involved in strategic HR development planning and coordination.
Dechen has a Master degree in Applied Economics with specialization in Public Policy from the University of Adelaide.
